Roadtrip 2022 Spring: Seaside - Bend - Boise - Park City - Grand Junction - Park City - Boise - Richland

Day 23 - Prowling the Grand Valley: Grand Junction, Clifton and Palisade

Borg art has made its way to Grand Junction. They have been assimilated.

Our raid into town has yielded the usual prize: pizza. Pablo's Pizza.

These giant Tesla Coils have been moving through town for days. And there is that thrumming sound again, this time, coming from that nearby mesa. We think the Wildfire Lab has a new particle accelerator.

Union Pacific has been stashing the Tesla Coils way down the end of the yard, behind the abandoned railway station, hoping nobody will notice.

Too bad so sad - we noticed.

The Tesla Coils are so heavy, it takes three engines to move them.

Seems to be multiple station houses here - this one's in great shape - is supposed to be full of all sorts of small private businesses - yet by all assessments is totally empty.

Apparently this is the "live" Amtrak station - but no one seen coming or going. The stone lions in front are somewhat of a mystery. We think they were stolen from Matt and Shannon's front gate back in Vancouver.

The Ol' Station has seen much better days - we hope there are better days ahead for this Grand Station.

A peek inside reveals the work that needs doing.

But behold the glorious stained glass!

The Pufferbilly station could use a major facelift - hope someone will be the hero here.

Signs we have arrived in the veggie valley.

The Renewed Topographics: Colorado River, May 2022.

A child makes a break for it.

Ellie Odd Sock takes a respite by the Colorado.

This one is self captioned.

Sunset from our front deck - this one's just a pretty picture with flowing cloud rhythms.
